Acetoxylation of Vinyl Bromide
A1540 Copper(I) Acetate (1) 5g

Generally, the synthesis of vinyl acetates is difficult when vinyl halides are used as starting materials. However, the use of 1 allows the reaction to produce vinyl acetate relatively easily.1) For example, heating an acetonitrile solution of 1-bromocyclohexene with excess of 1 provides a mild and simple means for convertion into 1-acetoxycyclohexene.1a)
